Matthew 5:13-16

God's Power and Light Company

Cartoon Cool Stuff

What is unsalty salt? It is salt that might as well be sand. What is a lamp under a bushel basket? Of no use. What is a broken commandment? One step further away from God. What is a Christian that does not profess a loving God? Not a Christian. Help us to remain centered on Jesus' teachings as our way to a closer relationship with God.

Hopefully we can recognize God all around us - in nature, in our neighbor, in the needy, in the wealthy, ..., and even in ourselves. Once we recognize God at work in our lives, this passage suggests that we tell others about it. John tells everyone he meets. Andrew tells friends and family. Who are we going to tell?
